Information received this morning from one of our members to be aware of -

Hi Gill

I thought I should let you know that I had a scam call this morning from someone claiming to be from Visa. He knew my name and address and said they needed clearance for two suspicious transactions on one of my accounts but he only had access to the first two numbers. The amounts were £300 and £1300, one being in Nigeria.

As I was suspicious I asked for his name and number to call him back. I contacted my bank fraud department who advised straight away that it was a scam. The name he gave me was Alex Jones and the numbers was 203 290 3357.

Regards
